Equal wall thickness downhole motor is a special kind of Downhole Motors. Even Wall Downhole Motors have larger torque and longer service life. Besides, ERT downhole motors have more advantages in deep stratum well, large offset distance wells and short radius horizontal wells. The difference between equal wall thickness downhole motor and other downhole motors is that equal wall thickness downhole motor has equal thickness stator rubber sleeves. Equal wall thickness downhole motor has good qualities of motor quality, service life and high temperature resistant. And it also has outstanding points on large motor pressure, strong power, low rotation rate and high plot ratio.
Principle: Downhole motor is a kind of downhole dynamic drilling tool upon the power of drilling mud. Mud stream from the outlet of mud pump flows through a by-pass valve into
the motor. This stream produces pressure loss at both inlet and outlet of the pump to push the rotor into rotating, and to transmit the torque and speed onto the bit. The downhole
motor property mainly depends upon its property parameters.
Constitution: Downhole motor is composed of five assemblies: by-pass valve, motor, anti-drop, cardan shaft and drive shaft.
The down-hole motor is a positive-displacement down-hole motor. It converts the high pressure fluid power of the mud into the mechanical energy of drill bit rotation. The motor is
widely used in the drilling, making inclination, adjusting azimuth, coring, reaming, side tracking and work over for the directional wells, horizontal wells side tracked wells and straight
wells of oilfields and coal mines. In addition, it is suitable for compound drilling and traversing and other special works.
